Position Required: Biomedical Technician

Job Location: UAE

 -Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

-Should have experience in  maintenance in a major acute care hospital in a special area of Imaging / Lab /  ICU/OR/ Dialysis/ CSSD

Job Description:

Responsible for achieving sales quota in the Medical Disposables product line and expanding relationships with existing/new customers in the product line for the business unit.

  • Meets assigned sales targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Achieves product growth targets in the assigned geography or customer account.
  • Ensures tender preparation and computation of quotations.
  • Follows up on Purchase requisitions, Delivery requisitions, Sales invoice, Pro forma, delivery order, LPO, and related documentation if required.

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree holder, preferably Nursing or any medical-related course

-Minimum of 3 years UAE sales experience for Medical Disposables product line

-Proficiency in the English language is a requirement; knowledge of Arabic and other international languages would be an added advantage.

-A valid UAE Driving License is a must
Salary range between AED 17,000-19,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering with certification as a Trained/registered internal/external Quality Systems Auditor (ISO 9001 standard).

Masters or higher degree will be an added advantage.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive ‎experience in Quality Management at a senior level. Familiar with ISO 9001:2008 & Quality Management Systems and their implementation at an operational level.

Work experience in the healthcare /medical supply industry is an advantage.

The main role of the position will be to ensure all related diagnostic imaging medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skill as well as strong technical skills and commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.

The FSE for this role will possess:

  • experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical imaging devices including x-ray;
  • experience in a hospital or healthcare setting;
  • ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices;
  • excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills;
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required.

Basic Education Requirement:

Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to the proficiency in maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment.

Basic Functional Experience:

3 years of UAE experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment.
